Tucked away in the heart of Yabacon Valley, Lagos, Nigeria is a tech startup that provides essential services to other startups.
Findworka was founded in 2016 by Dele Bakare, as a platform for hiring artisans and semi-skilled workers. He identified a vacuum in the tech space and set out to bridge this gap by providing pre-vetted tech talents for companies seeking to extend their engineering teams.
Armed with a vision to empower today’s companies and workers with the technology and opportunities needed to succeed in the evolving digital economy, in 2017, the company morphed into a digital services-only freelance platform where users could find, connect with, hire and pay diversely skilled digital professionals.
Today, in addition to talent outsourcing and building software products, the company also boasts of a brilliant team of developers and product designers who build software products.
Findworka runs the Findworka Academy, and Saucecode - a closely knit community of techies, and is also the organizer of the biggest remote hackathon in Nigeria - The Saucecode Hackathon.
The company has grown in leaps and bounds to become an elite network of pre-vetted African software developers who are tested, graded, and effectively matched with partners in an integrated talent and project management system.
It’s been four amazing years of building amazing software products and matching Africa’s finest tech talents with companies and projects across our ecosystem. We’re thankful to our partners, clients and mentors. Cheers to the years ahead!
